McLaren 765LT Is What Happens When You Let Designers Loose

If the 720S was too slow for you and you couldn't get your hands on the Senna then the McLaren 765LT might be your kind of car.

So the cancelled Geneva Motorshow doesn't stop manufacturers from unveiling the cars they've been looking forward to.
McLaren shows us the next chapter in the "Longtail" story. Meet the Mclaren 765LT.

At first, it might seem as someone mixed up the numbers from the 675LT. But Mclaren means serious business with this one.
The 4.0L V8 has been pumped up to 765 hp and 800 Nm which means 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and 0-200 km/h in a brisk 7.2 seconds.
Together with that, the car has been on an 80 kg diet lowering the total dry weight to 1229 kg. This means that the McLaren 765LT has a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 622 hp per tonne. (40 hp per tonne more than the newest Mono)

New aerodynamic improvements were found by redesigning front splitter, front bumper, front floor, side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffuser and a larger ‘Longtail’ active rear wing in carbon fibre.
Carbon-ceramic brakes are the same that came from the bonkers McLaren Senna. Lightweight 10-spoke wheels are wrapped in ultra-sticky Trofeo R's.

Just 765 examples of the McLaren 675 765LT (we really need to get used to this name) will be built and if you're one of the lucky ones to get your hands on one: Don't forget to select that double-glazed panel that showcases the V8 in the options list. That thing looks dope.
