BMW has put some numbers on their i4

All car brands have embraced the electric car and BMW isn't an exception. With the i3, BMW is already representing a piece of the revolution and they aren't finished with us yet. The Future will bring us the BMW iX3, but today the boys from Munich are giving more information about the i4.

The BMW i4 can be seen as a 4 Series Gran Coupé with an electric engine and that is probably the easiest way to look at this car. Maybe even the successor of the 4. A sporty coupe with 4 doors that will have 530 pk in its strongest version and gives a good acceleration to 100 km/u in 4 seconds. The top speed is an "OK" 200 km/u. The battery of 80 kWh will have a range of 600 km and can be filled up -charged- for 80 percent in only 35 minutes thanks to speed charging at 150 kW.

The i4 will also have the fifth-generation eDrive-system that we will first encounter in the BMW iX3 next year. Furthermore, the iNext will use the same system as the i4 en iX3.

In 2021, the i4 will be produced at the site in Munich next to the 3 Series Sedan and Touring, the 4 Series coupe and also the pretty fast M4. While by 2023, BMW is hoping to have 25 models with some kind of electric power.
