Toyota is the king of hybrids. But can it bring that “know-how” to the world of EVs? We went on the road with the bZ4X to provide a final answer to that question.

Can you believe it? The Toyota Highlander has been around for 20 years and with this fourth generation, they are also bringing it to Europe. 7 seats, the most powerful hybrid in the Toyota-stable and a new platform.

To fill an existing gap in the market, Toyota extended their SUV range with an addition to the bottom of the spectrum. The all-new Toyota Yaris Cross, a B-segment SUV, was introduced recently and Toyota invited us for a quick spin around the block with the new member of the family.

With all eyes on the car manufacturers to contribute to the energy transition, the main theme is electrification. I’m not here to question the pros and cons, but there’s another option available. That option is the implementation of a hydrogen fuel cell, as applied in the Toyota Mirai.

More is … more! Three is more than two and 340 hp is a lot more than 258 pieces. Those 82 extra horsepowers and a total of 500 Nm have really changed the car. Where the four-cylinder Supra feels like a daily driver, this one feels more like a sports car, a tire-shredding sportscar!

With the Corolla being at its twelfth generation, Toyota needs to keep fresh and keep bringing their A-game to the stage. Did they nail it? Or will the Toyota Corolla die a silent death?
