Now officially: Hyundai i20

Have you had enough of the Hyundai i20? After the teasing and the leak, now the official online reveal.

The Hyundai i20 has been seasoned with some designer-sauce. The "Sensuous Sportiness" gives the i20 young and wide grille with contiguous headlights and added V-shaped led-lights. What we first thought was continuous taillight is a taillight joint by a reflective strip. Some facts about the Hyundai i20: 2,4 cm lower; 3 cm wider; 0,5 cm shorter. But the wheelbase grows 1 cm and the trunk space gets an additional 25 liter to a total of 351 liters.

The interior is still a sketch. Across the entire width of the dashboard, you can find vertical lines that look like ventilation grills. Both displays, the infotainment system and behind the wheel, are 10,25-inch and seem to touch each other. For safety features, you can choose the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assistant and a Smart Cruise Control. The last one being an adaptive cruise control connected to the navigation system. Lane Following Assist, Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Assist belong to the possibilities.

The entry model gets a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 84 hp and 118 Nm torque linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The smaller 1.0-liter T-GDI, with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed double-clutch automatic, produces 100 hp and 172 Nm torque. The first time in history, this set-up can be combined with a 48 volt mild hybrid system. The strongest version has that mild hybrid system and helps to get 120 hp, but also to reduce consumption by 3-4 percent.
