Last week the first Toyota GR Supra was auctioned for $2.1 million. All proceeds will go to charity.
The new Toyota GR Supra ‘A90’ will start at $49.900 once it gets released which looks like a good deal if you compare it to its rivals.
However the GR Supra down below was sold for more than that. Quite a lot. In the USA, Barrett Jackson auctions regularly get the honor of selling the first car rolling from the production line.
Yes, at 2.1 million this Supra sold for 42 times its value!
Most of these first of production cars get auctioned off for a good cause. In this case, proceeds will go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation. They Fund and shape programs benefitting post-9/11 impacted veterans and their families.
Amongst that there were other first of line production cars auctioned at Barrett Jackson last week. The first 2019 production Ford GT was sold for $2.5 million and the 2020 Mustang GT500 sold for $1.1 million. Both also auctioned for charity.
