“Good luck Honda from Porsche. See you on the other side.”

Porsche trolled Honda in an epic fashion. How they did it? It all started with the fact that manufacturers use each others cars as benchmarks and reference points during development. Same so for Honda during the development of the NSX. The brand decided to get their hand on one of the most desirable Porsches out there, the 911 GT3.

Luck be it that the Porsche 991.1 GT3 had to be recalled due to connecting rods issues. This is when Porsche engineers found out that the car was been chilling at a location only Honda operates at. Putting one and one together the people gave way to their epic childish urge and put the message “Good luck Honda from Porsche. See you on the other side.” under the hood. This fact was revealed by Nick Robinson, project leader of the NSX enterprise. Plus 1 for him for being so open. Imagine the faces of the Honda team when they got the car back.

So there you have it. This is how Porsche trolled Honda in an epic fashion. But what if the car didn’t belong to the Honda team at all? That would have been one awkward phone call from a customer. “There’s something about a Honda written on my car”
