Ford surprised us with the new 2015 Ford GT and now the GT gets transformed into a racing car.

50 years after the victory of the GT40 at LeMans Ford announces it’s new racing GT that will compete in various racing series including the next WEC but it’s debut race will be in January at the 24h of Daytona. A race that will put the new Ford to it’s limits.

The car features high technological components such as a 3D printed air intake, more carbon fibre parts, etc. visually we see many changes, the front end has been redesigned with a new splitter and dive planes But damn that ass, a new rear wing and massive diffusor dominate the rear end of the car. Exhausts have moved to the side position underneath the intercoolers.

Ford GT competition

Ford will have a tough job competing with contenders like Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Corvette but it could get interesting to see what they will do. First race will be in the United States where it’ll than have some more testing before the car gets unleashed in France at the 24 hours of Le Mans. We sure hope it’s going to make history like it’s ancestors.
