The newest Ford Focus ST is thanks to 280 hp pretty fast. But it ain’t an RS. Ford doesn’t provide a Focus RS, so Mountune takes on the ST and makes it an RS-light.
The standard Ford Focus ST can enjoy the 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder -from the Mustang and previous Focus RS- with 280 horsepower. Good for a “zero to 100 km/h“-time of 5,7 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. Pretty decent numbers if you ask us.
But the famous Ford-tuner -Mountune- wants more, 50 hp and 95 Nm torque more! The total outcome is thanks to the upgrade 330 hp and 515 Nm of torque. You can “change” the motor management on your smartphone, so you can make your Focus ST more to your personal taste. Or maybe a good thing when you give the key to your friend or kids.
Mountune also changed the driving mode “Slippery” to “Quiet Sport”-mode, a sport-mode exclusive the exhaust sound. A pretty cool extra feature is that you don’t have to lift your foot off the accelerator to change gear.
Hot or not?
