But not here in Europe. The petrol-engined Audi SQ7 and SQ8 are for the United States of America. It sounds like the S6 and S7 story.
So if you really want a petrol engine in your SQ7 or SQ8, you need to move to America or just import one. While our Audi SQ7 and S8 have a 4.0-liter V8 TDI with 435 hp and 900 Nm torque, the Americans can enjoy a petrol V8. That TFSI V8 has also got an engine capacity of 4 liters. The power output on that engine is 507 hp and 770 Nm torque.
Quattro and an 8-speed Triptronic automatic gearbox are standard, just like in the European ones. The top speed of the cars is also the same, 250 km/h. Acceleration from zero to 97 km/h takes 4,3 seconds. That’s 0.5 seconds faster than our diesel.
What would you have? Diesel or petrol?
