For the first time, we’re getting a look at the 2018 A-Class interior before the official release of the car.

As Development is still underway for the 2018 A-Class, the interior design is already in its final stages. The A-Class has become an important car for the German car manufacturer from Stuttgart. The A-Class is its best selling asset and also to a more younger public. The average age of the current A-Class owners is 13 years younger than the previous generation.

That’s why Mercedes has invested so much in redefining the A-Class for its next cycle. And that starts with bringing in high end luxury:

“The new A-Class embodies the next stage in our design philosophy of sensual purity, and has the potential to usher in a new design era,” says Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG. “The interior presents modern luxury at a level previously unattainable in this class, and transports the user interface into the digital age.”

Mercedes says the interior is unlike anything else in the segment. It features luxuries that were previously only available on top class models.
The dashboard is the most significant change is the dashboard. It’s been replaced with 2 horizontal three dimensional screens that provide vehicle information and infotainment. Combined with the optional ambient lighting it looks like the dashboard is floating.

Another cool feature is the steering wheel. Looks familiar? Yup that’s from the Mercedes S-Class. The front seats have comfort features mostly found in higher segments with seat climate control, massage and multicontour functions.

The 2018 A-Class will be officially unveiled in 2018 and if the interior is an indication of the rest of the car. It’s going to be a good one.
