Luckystraps, the best replacement for your camera strap?

To be honest, I was never really a fan of my old Nikon strap, I mean it was comfy and it did the job, but it was just a plain piece of cloth and with the arrival of the A7ii, I knew I'd had to get a new one.

Anyone who has used the A7 camera's can probably relate to what I'm on about. The strap is just way too rough to be comfortable. Ward even threw his one in the bin the same day he got it and used his Olympus strap since.

So there's this company in Australia called Lucky Camera Straps. They make straps for your camera in a different way. All of them are made out of 100% fresh leather and are also 100% handcrafted. The moment you open the box and take out the carefully folded strap you're greeted with the fine smells of genuine leather.

Attaching the strap is fairly straight forward like you’d normally attach it but there were 2 of these plastic securing points. It might make taking it on and off a bit of a hassle but you’re sure it’s gonna stay properly in place.

As far as options in Luckystraps, there’s heaps to choose from. I went with the Standard 53mm Classic with a brown and tan color. Mainly because of the color combination. And it would come in nice when I’d use some heavier glass on the A7ii. They seem a lot thinner on the site but the advantage the 53 gives is the big support it gives. I’d really like to test out the slim 30 but for now I’ll stick with the 53.

The leather is so soft and it encourages me even more to take my camera everywhere I go and people on the street seem to notice it as well. I’ve had a few asking me if it came with the camera or where I bought it.

So the final conclusion? I’d say these Luckystraps are a must if you’re looking to improve your photography experience. They smell fantastic, feel so soft and overall make any other camera strap look redundant. But best of all? They made me bring out my camera more often.
